Why do members need to send the activation code?

We send new subscribers a code that they send to the LaunchPass bot to activate their account.

Sending the code:

  1. Confirms that they accept your #terms-and-conditions (create this channel and make it read-only if you don't have one). This greatly helps fight and win disputes.

  2. Allows members who previously received access to your server for free to purchase access and get their role without first leaving your server.

  3. Verifies the members identity so they can manage their subscriptions right from within Discord.
